Population Pyramid
The Double Stacked Negative Bar Chart enables one to present ratios between a binary dimension such as gender across an additional dimension such as age or location. In this example we are showing a population pyramid broken down by gender, this can then be filtered by location or other classification.
This beautified widget renders into the screen with a smooth animation, both on first load and also upon every filter change, though the animation can be disabled. Every element is collapsible, from the filter pane. There are a few available colour palettes including a slick dark theme:
